I am still trying to make up my mind on which marathon(s) I will be racing this fall. I am almost sure that I will sign up for Philadelphia, since I would like to run the race I should have ran last fall when I got injured. Also I am trying to decide whether running Toronto 5 weeks prior to Philly would be feasible. I guess what I need to do is to just sign up for both and be done with this indecision.
At any rate, I am unofficially training for Toronto already. I am following the training program found in the Boston Marathon site with some modifications to bring my level of fitness up. I am following the tempo and interval runs, but have not been running on Fridays and have been swimming instead. In a couple of weeks I need to make a final decision since I should start training by the last week of June if I decide to run on October 18.
Yesterday I had a long run. Lately I have been feeling quite sanguine about my running, I am feeling that I have been running much better with my injuries not bothering lately. I ran 15 miles yesterday morning and a steady 7.18-7.20 minute mile pace through mile 12. I tried running the last 3 miles at under 7min pace, but ran Mile 13 way too fast at 6.45 and paid at the end by only managing to run the remaining 2 miles in just about 7min. Overall I am glad with the effort and hope to keep on improving.

That sounds like a great long run. The finishes will keep getting stronger as you do them.
And, I agree that you should register for both Toronto and Philly. That way, if something comes up, you can switch focus and gain a few extra training weeks.
