Whenever I come to Montreal, one of my favorites routes to run is along the Lachine Canal. It starts at the old town and goes all the way to Lachine, the south end of the island of Montreal. That's around a 12km course. It is always a gorgeous run.
I came to visit a friend of mine for the weekend. It is freezing however. Yesterday was a high of -17C and sunny. Though I saw a brave Montrealer in running gear, I did not dare go out for a run. Below is a picture of the canal.
It is totally frozen with a coat of fresh snow. Good thing I did my run in NYC before I went to the airport.
