Running in Berlin

I arrived at 8am local time this Tuesday in Berlin and only managed around 30min of sleep on the plane. By the time I arrived at their place it was closer to lunchtime so we went for lunch and a quick walk around the neighborhood.

Coming back I was exhausted! So it was either go sleep or go for a run. I elected for the run, of course. I ran a slow 7 mile route that took me to the Spree River, to 2 of the various parks of town and even to some part of the Wall that is still standing. There is history and culture all over this town. I hope to explore more of it, especially since it is so friendly to runners and cyclists.

Back home after a nice dinner, I managed to stay awake till 11pm. Woke up early and already managed to run 6.5 miles this morning. Now I am off to the Olympic Stadium and see some of the track and field championships.
