running vicariously

Today was such a beautiful winter day here in NYC -- 40s and sunny. The perfect day for running.

I had Selma take pictures of her run this morning along the Hudson River on Riverside Park. On our long runs, Robert and I would often run crosstown and start our runs on the West Side, so I know this stretch as well. It is a beautiful run with great views of NJ and the George Washington Brigde. At times, the path is just right by the water. The northward path actually passes by the GW Bridge and the Cloisters.





Her pictures came out really well. I especially like the second from the top. You can see NJ in the background. And you can get a sense on how close the runners actually are from the river and the highway and cars. It is a great shot!
